1. Fill your schedule
This tip probably sounds counterproductive, but we mean it. Block out time on your calendar for holiday events and family gatherings and don't let anything work related creep into those time periods. They are already spoken for.
2. Indulge yourself
Whether it’s an extra long session at the gym, a mini-marathon to empty your DVR backlog or an afternoon rereading a worn paperback novel, treat yourself to a little indulgence over the holiday season. Go for it. You earned it.
3. Shorten the list
We all want to have wonderful holidays, but that doesn't mean they have to be perfect. Take a look at your holiday to-do list and find an item or two you can eliminate. Maybe this year all the desserts aren't homemade or the gifts are wrapped by fundraiser volunteers. Take some of the pressure out of your holidays and you'll find that you enjoy them even more, because they have less hustle and more merriment.
We have more actionable strategies that go beyond the holidays to help you and your organization skyrocket productivity all year long. Contact us today to learn more about how we cultivate high-performing workplaces.
